Soccer at the Heart of the Francophone Community

Faly Academy is proud to develop soccer programs within Francophone schools across British Columbia. Our goal is to make soccer accessible to young players within their school environment while promoting athletic development, confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging to the Francophone community.

We currently work with several schools and Francophone partners, including:

After-School Soccer Programs

Our after-school soccer programs give students the opportunity to play and develop their skills directly after school in a safe, positive, and engaging environment adapted to their age and level.

Sessions are led by qualified FC Faly Academy coaches and focus on:

Technical development
Ball control and decision-making
Teamwork and communication
Coordination and movement skills
Understanding of the game
Confidence and enjoyment of soccer

Soccer During the School Day

Faly Academy also offers soccer sessions during school hours, from Kindergarten to Grade 11.

Sessions are adapted to each age group and provide students with an opportunity to discover and develop their soccer skills through fun, dynamic, and educational activities.

A Pathway for Player Development

Our vision goes beyond simply providing an after-school activity. We aim to create a clear development pathway for young players who want to continue progressing through Faly Academy's programs and, eventually, into our competitive and high-performance teams.

Our goal is simple: to develop good soccer players while helping young people become confident, respectful, and passionate individuals.

FC Faly Development Centre is the starting point of our player development pathway, designed for children aged U3 to U7 who are discovering soccer for the first time.

At this age, our priority is simple: help children fall in love with the game.

Through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities, players develop their coordination, movement skills, confidence, and basic soccer abilities in a positive and encouraging environment.

Our Focus

Our sessions introduce young players to the fundamental building blocks of soccer:

Ball Familiarity – Becoming comfortable with the ball
Movement & Coordination – Running, jumping, balancing, and changing direction
Basic Ball Skills – Dribbling, stopping, kicking, and controlling the ball
Fun Challenges – Learning through games and creative activities
Social Development – Sharing, teamwork, communication, and respect
Confidence & Creativity – Encouraging children to explore and express themselves
Love of the Game – Creating positive first experiences with soccer

Learning Through Play

Young children learn best when they are having fun. Our coaches use games, movement activities, challenges, and small-sided soccer to introduce players to the sport in a natural and enjoyable way.

There is no pressure to perform. Players are encouraged to explore, experiment, make mistakes, and try again.

The Beginning of the FC Faly Pathway

The Development Centre represents the first step in the FC Faly player development pathway.

As players grow and develop, they can progress into our First Steps Soccer Academy (U8–U10) and eventually into our competitive and high-performance programs.

Our goal is to provide a consistent development environment where every child can progress at their own pace.

FC Faly First Steps Soccer Academy is designed for young players aged U8 to U10 who are ready to take the next step in their soccer development.

At this age, our focus is on creating a fun, positive, and challenging environment where players can develop a strong technical foundation while learning to love the game.

Our Focus

Our sessions are built around the fundamentals of the game:

Ball Mastery – Developing confidence and comfort with the ball
Dribbling & 1v1 Skills – Learning to attack and beat opponents
Passing & Receiving – Developing proper technique and awareness
Decision-Making – Learning when, where, and how to play
Coordination & Movement – Improving agility, balance, and body control
Small-Sided Games – Learning through realistic game situations
Confidence & Creativity – Encouraging players to express themselves and enjoy the game
